Privacy

The short version

Otternity is a private space for two. What you two make here is for the two of you. We show no ads, we sell nothing about you, and nobody at Otternity browses your space.

What we store

Your account: your email address, the name you choose, your language, time zone and settings.

What you two create together: your answers, reactions, memories, notes, photos, dates and your otters.

A session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is the only cookie we set: no tracking or advertising cookies, no analytics.

Your device also remembers your theme choice. That stays on your device.

Who sees it

Only you and your partner. Some answers stay locked until you have both replied.

We never read, sell or share your answers, memories or photos. Our logs record that something happened (for example, a request failed), never what you wrote.

Services we use

Cloudflare runs the app and stores your photos.

Neon hosts the database.

Resend sends sign-in emails.

Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google: we receive your email address and name.

When you two read different languages, Cloudflare Workers AI translates what one of you writes for the other. The translation is stored next to the original and never used for anything else.

Push notifications go through Apple, Google or your browser’s push service. They carry no content: your phone fetches the text from us when the notification arrives.

These services process data only to run Otternity.

Your choices

Download everything you two made from Us → Your data, at any time.

Unpairing archives your shared space for both of you. You can still download your data afterwards.

To delete your account and its data, write to hello@otternity.love from the address you sign in with. We do it within 30 days.
